Sharp Practice French and Indian wars.

It's a while since we played SP and my first time with this period so looking forward to giving it a run out again.

The British commanded by John were defending the buildings with a small contingent of Indian allies.

I commanded the French, well somebody had to. This is their Indian contingent.

The French marine contingent.

The British sent out the indians to protect the redcoats from an expected attack by the French skirmishes and indian contingent.

Fatigue on the British allies from the skirmishers.

A casualty and more fatigue after combined fire from the marines and indians.

Following the British allies retreat the redcoats return fire on the indians on the hill.

Can't remember what these lads were but they proved effective against the British skirmishers from behind cover.

French irregulars advance towards the British

and pay the price with 2 casualties

The British skirmishers continue under accurate fire and are forced back.

The French indian leader is knocked over once again, it will take him 3 moves to recover.

The British skirmishers have left the table and their indian
contingent have been sent out to plug the gap.

They were quickly forced back and would leg it off the table also.

The French are closing in on all sides

but the British regulars put up a stubborn defence.

French marines close in and fire at a section of the Britsh

They break

Only one unit left and they decide to live and fight another day!

Excellent game put on by club treasurer John Sabbiston.

15mm Spanish/Italian villa commission and 28mm ACW commission.10mm ruins.

15mm Spanish/Italian villa commission.

I made this for a customer who saw the 28mm version and wanted a similar model in 15mm

It's the model kit plastered and painted. As can be seen the roof and walls have been weathered. The base has been left with a brown undercoat as the customer wants to texture it to match in with his other models.

The roofs come off and floors also come out. Original model from our 15mm Spanish/Italian range

28mm ACW commission models.

A customer in the US is building Gettysburg in 28mm and has asked for several buildings over the last couple of years. The latest request was for the Carrie Sheads house.

At time of the battle, it was also the home of Oakridge Seminary, a school for girls. Carrie Sheads was the school's principal, the house is often confused with the Female Seminary of Gettysburg, or other such schools in Gettysburg. During the battle it was used as a hospital and soldiers from both sides were cared for at the house.

This model is done in white brick as withe the house as it is today but i suspect at the time of the battle it may have been a natural brick colour.

This was a complicated model to do as the front and rear porches were different sizes and it took me awhile to work this out!!!! It will take soome tweaking before it can be released in kit form but once done it will be offered in white or red brick versions.

The model base will be textured by the customer.
This was part of a batch of 10 models which included 3 versions, brick, stone and clapboard, of the Thompson house. This house was located on Seminary ridge and was Lee's headquarters. This model will be available next week .The other models in the photograph below can be found 28mm ACW/Old West

I have added some creeping plant growth to some of our 10mm ruined models to represent an overgrown and abandoned city for our Dropzone Commander games.

These can be found 10mm city block ruins

Latest releases 28mm and 10mm SciFy

The Birdcage theatre.

First up is the Birdcage theatre from the rowdy town of Tombstone, Arizona. The model kit is supplied with painted parts for all visible areas and plain natural wood interiour..

28mm figures from various manufacturers.

The 'cribs' which line both walls are represented and it's these that some think gave the building it's name.

The building had unusually large doors and these are represented here. The stonework pattern is just one of several shown in pictures from different eras.

Available here-Old West/ACW.

New 10mm SciFy range, first release.

Next up is a 10mm Futuristic building for SciFy games. Models in this range will be supplied unpainted.
We will be using these for Dropzone Commander games.
